As an international development and consulting firm, AVMA uses its global network of social, business, and political relationships in order to develop and further enhance industry opportunities that strengthen new and developing technologies, industries, products and services. Our goal is to work with ambitious clients to help them discover the world’s opportunities that have been unimaginable up until this moment and put them within reach. We look for motivated, diligent clients that are looking to bridge the gap from where they stand to where they should be, can be, will be. AVMA will help structure, orchestrate and enable sustained results.
With a wealth of information to share, American Ventures’ website serves as a hub of valuable content for technologies, industries, products and services.
Over time, and an ever-growing library of material was collected, the website was cluttered, which overwhelmed and confused their target audience. The design and copy no longer represented the progressiveness of their work and their passion for their mission. What was needed was a complete website overhaul, and New Life Design Graphics delivered just that.
We kicked off the project with the AVMA in the usual way: a discovery session and a website landscape analysis. After we spent time getting to know the organization better, our strategy marketing team dove into the challenges they were facing, analyzed similar organizations, analyzed a recent market study they conducted and surveyed a group of their stakeholders.
The results of this analysis led us to identify and prioritize the following objectives:
The feedback we received from the owners was that the website didn’t tell the organization’s story clearly enough. They wanted to be able to understand who AVMA was, what they stood for, and why they existed at a glance, without having to search for it.
We addressed this by placing their summary about and mission right away on the homepage, as well as at the top of their about page. Throughout the website we made thoughtful design choices to draw focus to their “who/what/why”.
With our guidance, the highest of quality content was published to the website, but site layout was in desperate need of organization. There were too many pieces of information in different places and various landing pages, which the audiences surveyed found confusing to navigate.
To address this challenge, we started with an essential phase of the User Experience (UX) and Information Architecture (IA) process, to create products that provide meaningful and relevant experiences to users — for-profit, non-profit, and philanthropic organizations.
By organizing the information into tabs and within a single pages and create a resources CMS, we were able to visually deliver an immense amount of information in compressed layouts. In this way, we were able to guide the target audience users to AVMA’s core offerings, and related content to improve user engagement.
AVMA's website was very outdated and no longer did it reflect the progressiveness of their work today. A major design refresh was long overdue. They their brand to clearly be reflected in their design, as well as, their message of who/what/why in a modernly designed way.
Rather than completely re-doing their branding, New Life Design Graphics assisted with the enhancement and coming out of their true brand identity. We delivered for American Ventures' website a visual identity facelift. Our designers and developers worked beautifully to give the organization a refreshed design that was customized to their brand and unique to the rest of the world.
This website redesign wasn’t just about how it looks, but how it functions for the AVMA’s audience. The new website design uses content strategy, smart UX and IA design to highlight the organization's specific areas of expertise. It features dynamic colors, shapes, branding, and is home to a large, new well-structured CMS resource library.
Built with the client (number one) and the future in mind, the website is now also visually and structurally equipped to host even more information, setting American Ventures up for future success in finally reaching their target audiences and gaining the returned investment in 300% fold.
